new project - crochet bag

so the other day i ended up at the craft store staring at yarn. i had an urge to buy yarn but couldn't decide on what project to start. as i walked to the check-out counter getting ready to pay for my kit-kat i found a LARGE  ball of yarn on sale and i couldn't pass it up. on my way home i was thinking of what project start...then i realized that i had the perfect yarn for a bag/purse. i'm done crocheting  the bag i just need to saw the lining in the bag. i will post pictures soon.

purl headband

here are a couple of pictures of my latest project. this only took about 1 hr. to complete. the flower gave me inspiration to crochet the headband.

weekend

last night i went out with a couple of girlfriends for pizza at Pequods and i have to say that is yummy pizza. if you're ever in the chicago/skokie/evanston area stop by Pequods. afterwards we went for a few drinks to the bar next to door, i think it's called Bringerr Inn and the regulars at that bar were really nice people and we will definitely go back.

Any ways, we decided to make plans for my bday celebration and this will be taking place on 9/29. Not sure of all the details at this time but I know it will be a girls sleep over and tequila rose will be involved :)

Also this weekend i decided to update my Craftsy account feel free to stop by and take a look at it. I uploaded the pattern for a flower that i crocheted.

I will try to have more exciting news later week. 

btw i was not able do the photoshoot my creations but will try to do it next weekend.

finished projects

good morning everyone!


i'm posting pictures of some of the projects that i've been working on. the beanie hats takes  me approximately 2 hrs and each flower takes approx. 20 minutes. i came up with my own beanie hat pattern it may not be original but i'm proud of it.

i used vanna white yarn collection. i like using that brand because it's really soft against your skin and they have funky colors.

this is an earwarmer.

crochet project of the day

so today i decided to crochet a flower from a pattern that i came across online. here's the link to my review and i even posted a picture of the finished project: Lion Brand website

so i heard that some men think that crocheting is something that older women (senior citizens) should be doing i can't believe that people still think that. 

i started crocheting when  i was pretty young about 12 yrs. old and i've enjoyed doing it. how old were you when you started? are you a male that enjoys crocheting? let me know.

How it started

here's how it got started. i lost my job about a month ago and i was sitting home bored worried about how long it was going to take to find a new job. after some disappointments of interviewing and not getting a job i started crocheting.


as far as crochet i knew the basics, single and double crochet, and up to now the only things i've done were afghans and they weren't perfect. thanks to youtube i learned how to make beanie hats, ear warmers, purses and flowers.


my friends were benefiting from crochet creations and then one day i came up with my new business OG Creations or original girl creations, sounds ganster, huh? :D
